Well, that's because you, being in that hotbed of early adoption land - Silicon Valley - are seeing pre-launch evidence of Video CD. Believe me, there is a lot of activity these days among software and hardware vendors for Video CD, but most consumers won't start becoming aware of all of this until later this year.
