My interface card is the Creative Labs SB16 Multi-CD. I really think this problem has to do with the Mitsumi driver MTMCDAE.SYS (spelling maybe wrong) because when I run the same programs under OS/2 for Windows, I experience none of the problems. Some of my problems are: 1) Maddog MaCree runs incredibly slow if at all, it seems like the drive has a really hard time reading the CD 2) Myst hangs during play (when I run under OS/2, no problems) 3) couldn't install/run Gabriel Knight or KQVI I have solved some of these problems (ie. Gabriel Knight) by not having the Mitsumi driver loaded in the UMBs or specifying D=64 for EMM386. However, Maddog still has problems. Here are my questions: 1) I have the Mitsumi driver dated Dec.9/93 v1.13. Is there a later version and where is it? 2) I just bought the SB16MCD card (1 month ago) and it comes with a MTMCDAE.SYS. Should I use that one or the one (v1.13) supplied by the drive? 3) Am I on the right track thinking it is the driver that is the problem? Appreciate any help.
